This resource discusses the results of a pre-COVID survey conducted by the Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) in collaboration with the University of Michigan regarding the mental health needs of students, staff, and families. The survey revealed alarming rates of anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation among students, prompting a commitment from DPSCD to improve student well-being through increased resources and training.
